Poem- A Nature's lover

PC- Deviant Art There are moments when: things just don't go our way when everything is in complete disarray there is no time for laughter or play All we can do is, sit and pray for the culmination of this dark day and for everything to once again become happy and lay. Frustration, inner conflict, grief and sorrow: emotions we never love to borrow. Yet in our lives, these always follow and make each moment depressing and hollow so hollow, that even a slight glow remains unnoticed by our eyebrow. But, Isn't life a song, that does not last that long without giving us time to think what is right or wrong yet makes us move along  leaving behind all the variations that throng  our journey, making us even more mentally tough and strong. Or is life a flower that blossoms without looking at the hour giving the nectar of knowledge to all who seek cover after a tyrannous shower  blooming to its fullest even in the...

How to overcome writer's block?

"A professional writer is an amateur who didn't quit." - Richard Bach Writing is such a beautiful activity, one that stimulates a person to large extent. It is indeed difficult to write about 'writing' because the experience cannot be put in words. It is much beyond that. It is a process where a person learns a lot, not only about the external environment, but also about the inner self. Writing is also a very satisfactory task. When we write a page or two, we feel that we have written something original, and that feeling of satisfaction is insurmountable. Using good vocabulary, phrases, idioms and metaphors make us feel all the more pleased with our write-ups. Moreover, if our writing helps someone else, it makes us feel very contented.  You too may be experiencing something similar when you write. But, what if, sometimes, you are unable to put your thoughts into words? What if you feel that your content is not at all good? What i...

Source-createyourself.today                       "What lies behind you and what lies in front of you matters little when compared to what lies within you." These lines were perhaps the icing on the cake for what had been an amazing journey reading the book- The Monk Who Sold his Ferrar i, written by Robin Sharma . Having read his book 'The Greatness Guide' a few months back, I knew that I will surely enjoy reading his works, and was waiting to read 'The Monk who sold his Ferrari.' I felt that I must read this book too, and thus I got my hands on it. Truly, this book has left me mesmerised. Here is a complete review of this book:- MAIN CHARACTERS - John - He is the narrator of this tale. A professional lawyer and is rather frustrated with his job. He is a very inquis...

Poem- The beauty of midnight

It is well past midnight as I begin to write the ceiling over my head is faintly visible right above my table, the bulb shines bright In my room, I am seated comfortably all alone, in complete seclusion There is hardly any voice to be heard except for the sound of the clock ticking The desolate darkness intrigues me as I hear the pleasant sound of the windchimes there is hardly any voice to be heard except for the sound of the cuckoo bird. For many, night is like the end of day For many, night is the time when there is no light For many, night is the time to go to bed For many, night is like the end of whole hopes but for me, it is night which is blissful  and makes me live my own way!!

Not from a telegram, nor from a speed-post! Nor from a journalist, reporter, or a television host! But from the bottom of the hearts of a conc...

Poem-When you are happy and you know...

We all are blessed to have been born in this beautiful world, with so much to admire. We often take natural beauty for granted, and instead begin lamenting about the various problems we face in our lives. One thing is for certain, our problems are more or less self-created. No one really imposes these problems upon us. We must not have a parochial outlook towards life. Life teaches us lessons every moment. Let us learn, and carve a niche for ourselves in this magnificent world... Here is a poem which describes the beauty of nature. It also emphasizes the importance of having gratitude towards the Almighty for giving us so much to cherish... The birds chirp on in the valley As I write this piece I am really finding it difficult to tally The beauty of nature and the problems of my niece( not literally!😊)                           There are proble...

4 STEPS TO WRITE A SHORT STORY

POEM- THERE IS MUSIC BEFORE NOISE “Every cloud has a silver lining.” This is a quote which comes to my mind whenever I come across any negative thought or emotion. ‘Noise Pollution’ has become a menace in nearly all cities of India and across the globe. Machinery, equipments and sometimes people themselves make so much of noise which actually disturbs a large segment of our population. But, on the contrary, let us look at something positive which can be extracted out of this negativity. Let us suppose that there is a dearth of good writers in the country. People will be on the lookout for someone who writes exceptionally well. This gives the opportunity for aspiring writers to get their works published, and soon earn fame. Similarly, whe...
