GOOD NEWS FOR DEMOCRACY #Elections in Maldives

These were the exact words used by the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, early morning on 24th September 2018. This was just before the official declaration of the Presidential Elections held on 23rd September 2018. There was a lot of chatter before the election took place that incumbent President Abdullah Yameen might rig the elections. But, things panned out differently, and democracy prevailed. Poem- The beauty of midnight

It is well past midnight as I begin to write the ceiling over my head is faintly visible right above my table, the bulb shines bright In my room, I am seated comfortably all alone, in complete seclusion There is hardly any voice to be heard except for the sound of the clock ticking The desolate darkness intrigues me as I hear the pleasant sound of the windchimes there is hardly any voice to be heard except for the sound of the cuckoo bird. For many, night is like the end of day For many, night is the time when there is no light For many, night is the time to go to bed For many, night is like the end of whole hopes but for me, it is night which is blissful  and makes me live my own way!!
